Roksanda Ilincic Latest Designer to Join Debenhams EDITION Designer Diffusions Collection

237 Roksanda Ilincic Edition

Central St Martins graduate, Roksanda Ilincic, is the latest designer to create a diffusion line collection for Debenhams EDITION line. The Serbian born, London based womenswear designer launched her label in 2002 and has built a strong name for herself in the fashion world for her elegant evening wear.

As her R-T-W label sells frocks for up to £1600, it is with great anticipation that we look forward to the EDITION collection and more accessible price points. Debenhams EDITION is now going into its second season, offering designer style fashions at High Street prices. There is modern rock ‘n’ roll from Preen, playful prints from Jonathan Saunders and accessories by Jonathan Kelsey.

The Roksanda Ilincic collection uses bold colour and classic silhouettes. The designer spoke of the range: “It was very important to me that my signature aesthetic was evident in the collection. Especially with this first range, I wanted m style to be clear and accessible. By focusing on the essentials, we have managed to provide a concise, fashion-forward range with a luxury twist”.

The accessible prices start at £42 for a pair of cigarette pants, rising to £199 for a faux fur cocoon coat. A one shoulder, satin, burnt orange dress is one of the star pieces perfect for autumn.  There is also a heavyweight, plum, long sleeved shift dress with nipped in waist, which would work well for the office. A Peter Pan collar blouse in navy with contrast brown trim uses a vintage style but with a contemporary overall look. The navy panelled faux fur coat is quite a show stopping piece and looks much more expensive than its just-shy of £200 price tag.

The complete A/W ’11 Debenhams EDITION line hits stores on 5th September. Get it while it’s hot!
