Ethical fashion brand Chinti & Parker has launched a gorgeous heart print knitwear range for spring. Featuring two sweaters and a cardigan in lush Italian cashmere, each piece is the perfect antidote to the dreary February we currently find ourselves in.
Chinti & Parker is an ethical label founded in 2009 by Anna Singh (daughter of Tom Singh, founder of New Look) and Rachael Wood, instantly appreciated by celebrities and the glossy mags. They describe their business as the opposite of fast fashion, using only organic cotton, aiming to be carbon neutral, and working under fair trade principles. Chinti & Parker provides all of the basics you need to build an everyday wardrobe including organic cotton tees and cashmere knits. Last year I raved about their off-duty sweatshirt as the perfect casual throw-on piece for autumn.
Currently they have a wide range of cashmere available, and are ‘actively searching availability of certified organic cashmere’ with the aim of incorporating it into their collection. Prices for cashmere start at £265 for a boatneck sweater with elbow patches and rises to £350 for a polka dot sweater. You can get cotton sweaters for less than £200.
The Love Heart sweater (£330) is available to pre-order now. In grey with an intarsia heart in moroccan blue it has a round necked loose fitting style. Dress it up with a sleeveless shirt underneath, or simply team with jeans to stay warm out and about. Alternatively, there is the plain navy cashmere sweater with super cute heart shaped elbow patches or the heart pocket shrunken cardigan, both £295.
With Valentine’s Day coming up, what better excuse is there to buy yourself a heart themed present? And with Chinti & Parker you know your money is going to an ethical, top quality label.
