It’s all over (for another year). Little Mix made X Factor history by being the first group ever to win the X Factor show on ITV. Little Mix captured the viewer’s hearts for their happy-go-lucky innocence, sweet voices and quirky style. Perhaps they mark a new era of girl power, as most of their fans are young girls.
The X Factor final last weekend was a right fashion feast. On Sunday night, the judges dressed to impress with Tulisa Contostavlos wearing a full length blue dress, Kelly Rowland in a goddess like gold dress, Louis Walsh sporting a wine hued velvet jacket and Gary Barlow playing it safe in a black suit and white shirt.
Tulisa, who mentored Little Mix, struggled to walk in her full length gown as it was particularly tight around the top of the legs, and flared out at the bottom in mermaid fashion. It was designed by London Fashion Week Fashion Fringe Award winner Fyodor Golan. The 23 year-old N’Dubz star, held Louis’ hand as she walked over to the judges table. On Saturday night Tulisa had gone to the other extreme, dolled up in a short tutu style dress, in pink and black polka dot netting. It was so short that she flashed her knickers on more than one occasion; don’t these people think these things through?
Little Mix girls, Jesy, Perrie, Leigh-Anne and Jade (aged 18-20) each have their own unique sense of style. Their look is a kind of 80s/90s mix of cute dresses, animal print and denim shirts. They embarked on their first night as popstars at The X Factor aftershow held at the exclusive 5* Corinthia Hotel in central London. Little Mix's debut single Cannonball is expected to be the Christmas No1, although excitement is already brewing that the girls may record a duet with Tulisa.
